Executive Focus

Girl Scouts of Utah is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors in partnership with Girl Scouts of Utah staff. Leading the Girl Scout Movement in Utah are the Chair of the Board of Directors, Debbie Nielson, and the interim Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Hardin-Reynolds.

 

 

 

 

Debbie Nielson,
Board Chair

Debbie is a Lifetime Member of GSUSA and of Girl Scouts of Utah's Alumni & Friends association. She has been a Girl Scouts of Utah volunteer for more than 20 years, beginning as a troop facilitator for her daughter's troop. She has also been a Service Unit Director and served in other positions for the Suncrest Service Unit. After 23 years of operating a business with her husband, she had more time available to devote to volunteer endeavors.

In her previous board terms Debbie served as Vice Chair, Member-at-Large, on the Nominating Committee, and as the Fund Development Chair. Debbie is a Wisconsin native and has great memories of her Girl Scout experiences there, especially of camping.

After 23 years of operating a business with her husband, Karl, Debbie is now focusing her time on volunteer endeavors.

Lisa Hardin-Reynolds

 

 

 

 

Lisa Hardin-Reynolds,
Interim CEO

Lisa Hardin-Reynolds is the Interim CEO for Girl Scouts of Utah. Prior to April 2010, she served as Chief Operations Officer for eight years. There, she provided oversight in the areas of program, finance, property, camp, and cookies.  

Lisa grew up right here in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from Weber State with a bachelor's degree in social work. Passionate about the idea of melding her love of the outdoors with helping people grow, she began her career with Girl Scouts as a Camp Director in 1988. She has held numerous positions within the organization and has earned the prestigious Thanks Badge AwardAs a leader, she is adept at directing solutions, negotiating conflict, and empowering others to realize their full potential.

Lisa is proud to be a mother of a Girl Scout Daisy, with another daughter anxious to follow in her footsteps. She believes Girl Scouts of Utah unites girls and young women and provides multiple opportunities to grow and lead as they develop into accomplished adults. In a world with so many challenges, this is an environment where all girls are welcome.
