Activity Credits

Girl Scouts of Utah activity credits are an incentive to participate in the Cookie Program. Many councils do not provide individuals with activity credits. Of those that do, GSU has one of the most generous activity credit programs in the country. Girls who participate in the program earn $10 for every 50 boxes of cookies sold.

Activity credits (or cookie credits, as they’re sometimes known) give girls and parents the freedom to choose how to reward girls for their hard work. They may be used to offset the cost of council-sponsored program activities, resident and troop camping, day camps, GSUSA-sponsored destinations, and girl membership registration fees. They may also be used to purchase items from resident camp trading posts, the Girl Scout Shops, or to special order items from the Girl Scout Catalog (GSM) through the Utah Girl Scout Shops. Activity credits earned during the 2010 cookie sale will be valid until June 30, 2011.

Activity credits are transferable between registered Girl Scouts. They cannot transfer to adults or other Girl Scout councils, be exchanged for cash, or be used to make catalog or online purchases directly from Girl Scout of the USA (GSUSA).

Activity credits are as valuable as cash. If activity credits are lost, stolen, or misplaced, they will not be reissued. They should be kept in a safe place.
