From inner cities to the Internet, foster homes to homeless shelters, Native American reservations to migrant farm communities, schoolyards to backyards, and in families throughout the United States, Girl Scouts is there.

Girl Scouting is for every girl, everywhere. However, achieving this goal requires significant human and financial resources.

While Girl Scouts of Utah benefits from a successful Cookie Program each year, all Girl Scout program and activities cannot be funded by cookies alone.

In fact, according to the Internal Revenue Service, cookie sales are not considered to be a fundraiser since they are products sold at fair market value. Therefore, we rely on the generous financial gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations to keep the costs of Girl Scouting from being prohibitive so that all girls can be involved and have the opportunity to learn the leadership and life skills that will help them achieve their goals.
