What are girls saying about the Girl Scout leadership journeys?

"The books [journeys] are fun and entertaining. You are learning how to be friends with everyone, and getting ready for life. Learning to manage money, how to take care of ourselves in an emergency, and to change a tire are some really important lessons. These books make a boring lecture into a fun activity for everyone, not just the girls they're meant for. I honestly am proud to be a Girl Scout and these journeys make it easier to enjoy being a Girl Scout."
Amanda, Girl Scout Senior)

'The journeys apply to my everyday life. I can use the lessons they teach at school. High school today is not what it used to be. All the issues that parents worry about are much worse than then they thought. The journeys teach girls how to deal with those problems and avoid them as much as possible. Girls Scouts used to be an entirely separate thing from my 'real world.' It was activities and things that I would, for the most part, not use. The activities were fun but not applicable to school and life. I love the journeys. They apply to my life and any other girls' life. They teach us how to handle life, stress, and the real world."
Ali, Girl Scout Ambassador
