Sorry about not writing Tuesday and Wednesday. To sum them up they were the most fun I bet your kids will tell you. Thursday consists of no waterfront, lots of arts, and Mt Majestic hike for sum. we super awesome are doing flag seramoni tonight. Only 2 more days. Friday is sleep in day.
Today we got back from the overnight hike! It was alot of fun! After we got back, we went to choices and playground (we choose between alot of cool things). After that we went to Rock Climbing! We got to bALAY each other. It was so fun! After that we went to showers! And than we did really cool olympic games thing! We all got along well during that and had a fun day!
Wow today has been so busy. Choice, campers playground, and all camp in one day. After choice and campers playground it was art class. We processed film and a photo. We glazed and made pots. Then off to the trading post. After dinner we had the alls camp olympics. Soda pop rockers won. Then us girls did fun stuff like dancin, cookies, torches and olympic relay races.
Yestereday we had a lot of fun we went canoing and we had a party. At our party we got manictures, pedicures, and facials. The smoothies were really yummy and we danced around the dining hall with brooms to the “annie” song.
Today we started our sewing projects! We had a lot of fun cutting fabric and using the sewing machines. We made lots of new friends and chose where we sleep this week. We have cabins. Then we went to campfire and sang songs and watched skits. We performed our cheer for everyone to try to win the spirit paddle. We didn’t win today, but there’s still four more days left!
Today we arrived at Camp Cloud Rim. We had lunch and the food was really good. Then we did swim check and after that we went Rock Climbing! It was so fun and we really felt safe when we did the climbing! Then we ate dinner after we went to a group campfire where the counselors did skits.
Day one the very first day is already over. It feels like we just said goodbye to our parents. We went in the darkroom and did photography and we made pinch pots and coil pots. Tomorrow we must prepair for the polar bear dip.
We checked in to camp. Some of us bought something from the trading post. We met up with our group and made name tags and mingled. then we went to the feild and wrote about our favorite place then made origin stories. Then we did fire and knife safety and first aid. Then we had lunch it was grilled cheese. After we had our swim test the water was cool. We went to waterfront again. We ate dinner and played thicket. Then we had flag and went to bed.
Today odyssey had sleep in day and P-jay day. They went to the waterfront for 3 hours. They had a un-birthday party for Cloud Rim.
ONe week gone, one more to enjoy! Today for choice we learned African foot dances, kickboxing, painting, or scrapbooking. The weather, which was rainy, cleared up just in time for waterfront. Most everyone took their swim test, so they could enjoy kayaking, and a fun game of water volleyball. Since today was the last full day of camp for the younger girls, the leaps helped plan closing campfire and performed a skit based on the beloved fairytale character Til Ugenspeigal. TGIF–the leaps
Today oddessy some people got back for another hike. The rest of stady at camp. We went to waterfront.
Today the fabulous leaps participated in 2 variety of activities. Six of us went on the Mt Majestic hike. Those of us who did not went to our daily camper choir. We also learned about social norms and observed girls in work to see what roles the norms play in daily lives. Along with that we took a “trip” to Mongolia where our plane crashed and we had to survivie in the desert. After “Me Time” the two groups joined back together and began our cookout. But due to weather conditions it became a cook-in. After that we had a leaps party where we played cards, did our nails, made facials, and drank smoothies.
Today we learned first aid, knots, and horse breeds. We got to go horseback riding and learned how to trot and do figure 8’s on a horse.
The best thing about today was the dance party!
We learned lots of stuff about living in the outdoors today. We learned about knives, dressing for the weather, first aid, and trail etiquette. Later we went to the waterfront and did windsurfing, which was awesome, and then we made woodburning crafts and did batik. We have made lots of things. It’s really fun!
Today we went to art class and made lots more pottery. We used the wheels and did handbuilding, and then we painted a still life. Later we made jewelry and learned how to tie lots of knots. For our service project we decorated a table by cutting out lots of picutes and gluing them to the top. It was so much fun!
Today some of the girls woke up early to do the polar bear dip. If any of you do not no what a polar bear dip is, it is wehre some of the girls wake up early in the morning and go down to the lake and jump in the water. After that we had flag, and breakfast today we had pancakes, strawberries, yogert and eggs. It was delightful.
Then we did an art project with watercolors we had to paint a scenery. After we went to the tents for me time, me time is when you go in the tent and relax or play. Today at waterfront we canoed and we also learned how to Kayak it was really fun. So then we had lunch today. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup.
After lunch we played some games like crokay and ultimute frisbie and baseball. Now I will tell you about the long hike for are overnight hike it was rocky but beautiful. We reached are camp ground. It is full of wildflowers. Once we got are food sorted we got are tents set up it was weird.
After the tents were put up we started cooking dinner we had noodles with white sauce, also we got carrots. Durring dinner it was raining so all of us went in to are tents. Then we went on a small hike to a swampy area.
Today Oddessy got back of thier long hike for 2 miles then they got everything out of there backpack.
We had waterfront. It was so fun! Then we made sculepy beads and partied at all camp.
Today we woke up and went to flag after that we did opening circle and then on to breakfast of breakfast berito, then we went to choice. The choices were morce code bracelets, soccer, and dancing. We could choose 2. Then we went to playground. The choices were waterfront, scavenger hung and arts and crafts. After we had lunch of meat sandwiches and salad. Then we went to a hip hop class, tought by Shivers. It was really fun. After we got our staff and the cabins and we went to have showers! Finally. After wqe went to the cookout and we made a hobo dinner with chicken and potatos, carrots and onions and while we waited for them to cook we got to make lipgloss. Then flag and strait after that we had a Harry Potter all camp. It was really fun then we got to do a so you think you can dance dance off. It was a tie between the leaps and us. We thought we one and they thought they won. Now it’s time for bed.
Its getting late so we’ll keep this short and sweet. Today we led flag ceremony completely in sign langauge! We did leadership and confidence building activities. Then we painted ukranian eggs and visited the waterfront. Tonight was all-camp night and the theme was Harry Potter. We made wands and playged human chess. Then an awesome dance party.
We completed all of our outdoor skills card. We also went on a nature walk and finshed our nature journals. After a long day of learning we relaxed with a spa night with manicure, pedicures, and yoga. We also made homemade ice cream. Yum!
