Troop Camping at summer camp is a way for girls and their Troop Leaders to enjoy the camp experience together with the support of camp staff. From cookouts to horseback riding, canoeing to fire building, swaps to campfires – Troop Camping has it all! Troop camping can be a good step in the camp progression before sending girls to summer camp alone or before going camping on your own as a troop. Registration open from January 26 at 8am thru January 31 at 8am. Troops wanting to register after this date need to contact camp@gsutah.org for availability. Girls will work on requirements towards the New Cuisines badge. Horse riding is not a part of this program. At the time of registration you may include a 2-hour Horse Experience for an additional $35 fee. (Outdoor Cooking Program)

Camp Check In: Cloud Rim Camp Check Out: Cloud Rim By the time you reach C.I.T. 3 you should be ready to jump into camp life and practice the leadership and camp skills you’ve built over the years. One week will be spent at Cloud Rim polishing your skills and getting back in the grove of summer camp life. After completing the week of training, you’ll be asked to come back to camp for 2-3 weeks to complete the C.I.T. 3 internship portion of your training. Girls will work with the Leadership Director to schedule their 2-3 internship weeks based on the camp schedule and each girl’s availability. If you are an experienced rider, then this is your camp to shine! You will spend at least 16 hours at the stables learning advanced horse care, such as basic medical and advanced grooming skills, you will practice your riding with drills, then venture out on trail rides and participate in a Showdeo. An overnight pack trip is included, and you’ll get to help the riding staff with the younger girl’s lesson at the stables. Fee includes $110 fee for horse programming. Artist Playhouse: 7/31 - 8/5 (Entering 4th-5th Grade)

The art room is your playhouse for the week! Spend time every day in the art room working on various projects. Create unique pieces of jewelry for you to wear! Get your hands into pottery on the wheel, hand building, and painting. Being a Cloud Rim artist also has its special perks, like having a slumber party in the art room and painting a canvas as a group to be hung in the art studio! Girls will work on requirements towards the Jeweler badge. (Art Program)

Paddler: 7/31-8/5 (Entering 9th-12th Grade)

Spend the week at camp enjoying all that paddling sports have to offer. You will learn everything you need to know about canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Participate in a canoeing regatta, enjoy a cookout on the lake, and more! Girls will earn the Paddling badge. (Water Program)

Animal Companions: 7/31 - 8/5 (Entering 6th-8th Grade)

Animals play important role in our lives. Spend your week at camp learning all about how animals and humans help each other. Spend time with an assistance animal trainer, meet with a local veterinarian, and even meet a real K-9 unit all at camp! During your time at camp you will also experience a 2 hour horse session where you will ride, learn about horse care, and experience the connection between humans and horses yourself! Girls will work on requirements towards the Animal Helpers badge. (Personal pets cannot be brought up to camp. All animals will be brought on site with a trained facilitator). Includes a $20 fee for a horse experience. (Animal Program)

Ready, Aim, Fire: 7/31 - 8/5 (Entering 6th-8th Grade)

Archery is a great sport for girls to build confidence and coordination. Spend every day this week learning and practicing your archery skills. You will get the opportunity to play archery games as well as test your skills on the field archery course. Girls will earn the Archery badge. Horse riding is not a part of this program. At the time of registration you may include a 2-hour Horse Experience for an additional $35 fee. (High Adventure Program)

Girls will work on requirements towards the Night Owl badge. (Night Program)
