Camp Cloud Rim History
Camp Cloud Rim was first constructed by The Utah Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression and named Camp Pinar. In1937, the camp was dedicated and renamed Camp Cloud Rim. Upon opening, the 27-acre site quickly became a popular destination for Girl Scouts throughout Utah and neighboring states!
In November 1992, a fire completely destroyed the historic lodge, but after many years of planning and fundraising, the lodge was rebuilt and dedicated in August 1999 as the Janet Quinney Lawson Lodge. Camp Cloud Rim is listed on Utah's Historical Register and continues to be enjoyed by hundreds of Girl Scouts each summer!
