Work at Camp

Thank you for your interest in working with our summer resident camp program! This summer we'll be hiring over sixty camp staff members who will help make our camper's experiences magical. Throughout the summer, staff will be able to boost their resumes with teaching, program development, leadership, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. You will also work with amazing people who may become life-long friends. Please read the information below and apply to be a camp staff member today!

  • Employment Dates
    • Trefoil Ranch June 11, 2012-August 11, 2012
    • Camp Cloud Rim June 18, 2012-August 11, 2012
    • It is mandatory for all staff to attend the first week of employment for staff training. We prefer to hire those who can stay for the entire contract season and will not grant excessive unpaid leave requests. You will be asked on your application to provide dates you will not be able to work.
  • Camp Positions and Descriptions
  • Certifications
    • All hired staff must be CPR and First Aid certified and have a Food Handler's permit prior to the first day of employment
    • Specialty staff will need to provide additional certifications
  • Salaries
    • Camp staff salaries range based on positions and the number of contract days. * Camp Cloud Rim is one week shorter than Trefoil Ranch
    • Camp staff are required to live on site: salaries include room and board
    • Camp staff will be paid by direct deposit twice during the summer
    • Unit staff salaries begin at $1,850 for the contract season.*
    • Program staff salaries begin at $2,200 for the contract season.*
    • Administrative staff salaries begin at $2,600 for the contract season.*
    • *All salaries are subject to change and are not set until contracts are signed.
  • Background Checks
    • In addition to the voluntary disclosure information you complete on the application, all individuals offered camp positions will be asked to participate in a criminal background check. This is in line with industry standards and is similar to what other youth organizations are doing.

    • Applications must be filled out in their entirety
    • Please alow yourself time to fill out the application. There are several questions that require well thought-out written responses. The more thorough you are in the application, the better understanding the Camp Directors will have of your skill sets, experience, and interest in working at camp.
    • You will be asked to provide references. References should be professional in nature. Please do not list friends or relatives.
  • Application Process
    • Submit your completed application.
    • Once applications are received, the Camp Directors will review them and select candidates to interview. Interviews and hiring will begin mid-January and will continue until all positions are filled.
    • If you are selected for an interview, the Camp Directors will contact you to set up an interview to be held in person at our Salt Lake City office or over the phone.
