Pathways
Girl Scouting is more flexible than ever and offers many ways to get involved. Girls can join through a variety of pathways including camp, events, series, travel, troops, and virtual.
Girls can participate in one pathway, all pathways, or any combination of pathways. All Girl Scouts (regardless of their chosen pathway) can earn badges and awards and can participate in the annual Girl Scout Cookie program.
Event Pathway
Girl Scouts of Utah offers several one-day events. Whatever your interests are, there is a Girl Scout event for you. Girls can customize their Girl Scout experience and attend as many or as few events as they like. Check out our current Fun Stuff program catalog packed with event listings.
Series Pathway
Series provide an opportunity for girls with common interests to connect. Series Pathways relate to a specific theme or purpose (science, outdoors, health, leadership, etc.) and may run for four weeks or two months with the same group of girls.
Some examples of ongoing series are Girl Scouts Forever Green (environmental awareness and action), uniquely ME! (discover your strengths and build self esteem), or Girl Scout Journeys which are focused on leadership development. Learn more about Series Pathway opportunities in our Fun Stuff program catalog and get involved today.
Adult volunteers can share their experience and expertise by leading a short-term series pathway. Click here to express your interest.
Camp Pathway
Girl Scout camp provides a safe and fun environment where girls explore nature and enjoy outdoor activities. There are a variety of camp programs for girls ages 5 to 17.
Day Camps
Girl Scout volunteers manage our day camps which typically run for three to five days, have a theme, and place girls in groups according to troops, ages, or number of girls. Day camps provide a meaningful opportunity for girls to discover, connect, and take action in the outdoors. Girl Scout day camp is an amazing value with costs ranging from only $15 to $40.
Minicamps
Experience a weekend getaway at one of our fabulous minicamps! We offer a variety of adventures year-round at both Girl Scout camp locations and offsite venues across the state. Activities at minicamps include snowshoeing, pottery, canoeing, horseback riding, high and low ropes courses, babysitting, pet first aid, art, and science. Troop Pathway
A Girl Scout troop consists of at least two adult volunteer troop leaders and about ten girls of the same age and grade level. Troops meet together regularly (you choose how often), usually for the duration of the school year. Troops provide an opportunity for girls to discover, connect, and take action through a variety of activities including events, cookies, science, badge work, service, etc. Start a troop of your own or inquire about troops in your area.

Adult Volunteer Pathway
Adults can also make a difference, one girl at a time! Your volunteer efforts will help girls build courage, confidence, and character! Plus, you'll have the unique opportunity to gain professional skills in organization, education, and community building.
There are more than 8,000 girls in Utah whose lives are changed as a direct result of the efforts of Girl Scout volunteers like you! Without adults playing many pivotal roles, Girl Scouting could not happen. Awaken in girls their promise to develop their full potential to make the world a better place.
Adults can volunteer in a variety of roles that fit their interests, schedule, and abilities. Volunteer in any of the pathways/programs listed below.
