Troop Travel

If you are planning a trip with your troop there are several things to keep in mind. It's not just what girls do, but how they are engaged that creates a high-quality experience. All Girl Scouting activities, including troop trips, are designed to use three processes that make Girl Scouting unique. When used together, these processes - Girl Led, Learning by Doing, and Cooperative Learning - ensure the quality and promote the fun so intregal to Girl Scouting.

That's why we strongly recommend older girls take the trainings required for adults so they will assist and take part in the planning process.

Training

At least one accompanying adult volunteer must have completed the appropriate and required GSU and/or GSUSA trainings within the last two years.

    Trip/Travel Application

    International Travel

If your troup would like to travel internationally, you must submit an International Intent to Travel Application. Then you must attend Planning International Trips to recieve your International Travel Application. Due to infrequent demand for this training, it is available by request as needed by the groups and troops planning international trips.
