Girl Scouts from across the country and around the world and those who believe in our mission gather every three years for convention. The 2023 Girl Scout convention will be taking place July 18–22, 2023 at Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. It consists of two events over the course of nearly a week.

56th National Council Session
56th National Council Session is the national business meeting being held on July 18–20 where delegates from every council across the nation and USA Girl Scouts Overseas meet to discuss, debate, and vote on issues important to the Girl Scout Movement, and elect national leaders for the next triennium.

Phenom by Girl Scouts
Phenom by Girl Scouts consists of exciting experiences in the Expo Hall and other fun and enriching programming from July 20–22. Meet special guests, attend the National Bridging ceremony and Gold Award celebration, take part in amazing activities and demos in the Expo Hall, and much more.

Join the GSU older girl trip

Phenom by Girl Scouts - Older Girl Trip
Wednesday, July 19 – Monday, July 24 2023

Join other Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors from Utah on a trip to GSUSA's Phenom! The trip is $1,575 per Girl Scout and includes airfare, hotel, meals, all Phenom activities, and a day at Walt Disney World. Sixteen (16) Girl Scouts will be accepted for this trip and will be supervised by two GSU staff members.

Activity Credits can be applied to cover girl fees. Due to generous donors covering 50% of the cost, no other financial aid will be available.

Girl Scouts wishing to join this trip must apply online by October 2. Participants will be notified October 11. GSU will host Zoom meetings before the trip to share additional information and so participants can get to know each other. Dates and times TBD.

*If a Girl Scout is selected and then earns the trip as a 2023 Cookie Program reward, she will still get to attend but will no longer count against the 16 girls capacity. The open spot created will then be filled from our waitlist.

October 2, 2022 – Application due
October 11, 2022 – Applicants will be notified of acceptance
October 25, 2022 – Deposit due ($500)
June 1, 2023 – Final payment and forms due ($1,075)
July 19-24, 2023 – Council trip

Sell 5,500+ cookies for a free trip

Girls who sell 5,500+ packages of cookies will earn their way to an unforgettable Phenom experience. This trip includes airfare, hotel, meals, all Phenom activities, and a day at Walt Disney World! The trip is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19 – Monday, July 24 2023.

Plan a Troop Trip

Plan the trip as a troop and go on the adventure of a lifetime to Walt Disney World. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassador troops can submit their troop trip application for a National Trip and follow all current travel guidelines. Girl Scouts are able to use Activity Credits on any approved National Trip of 3+ nights.

Attend as a family

Families may choose to take a trip to Walt Disney World to join in on the fun! This event is for all ages, and kids two and under are free! Plus find special pricing when purchasing a Group of Four Package.
