Junior & Cadette Cooking - Camping Edition (Virtual) - Grades 4-8) - March 27, 2021
Are you ready to step up your camping meals? Juniors and Cadettes will join one of our camp directors as we learn to make a variety of recipes at home that can also be made over a campfire or camp stove! No campsite is required for this program.
During this session, we will work towards the Junior Simple Meals badge and the Cadette New Cuisines badge. It is recommend for an adult to be nearby to assist with kitchen safety during the program as needed.
Ingredients needed (not included): eggs, shredded cheese, favorite omelet ingredients, strawberries, applesauce, bananas, lemon juice, milk, water, macaroni noodles, butter, salt, pepper, white sandwich bread, apple pie filling, vanilla, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and syrup (optional).
Supplies needed (not included): Oven, campfire pit/camping stove/stovetop, hot pads, pot, cutting board, sharp knife, quart sized zip bag, blender, 2 cookie sheets, parchment paper, rubber spatula, rolling pin, bowl, whisk, pan or skillet, tongs, spoon, eating utensils, and plates.
