Silver Award

Girls who earn their Silver Award are setting themselves up for success in school, friendships, academics, and life in general. The Silver Award is a leadership adventure that gives girls the opportunity to work with a team (or individually) to complete a project and develop more confidence. Throughout this, girls meet new people, gain new skills, and have the kind of fun that happens when working with other Girl Scouts to make a difference!

How can I be involved in my daughter's Silver Award?

Girl Scout Cadettes (6th-8th grade) are eligible to earn their Silver Award. We encourage parents to talk about the Girl Scout Silver Award at home with their daughters. Ask the girls what they are doing for their Silver Award, what they're learning, and what kind of difference they're making. Foster a sense of leadership and pride with your daughter and her award--earning the Silver Award is definitely something to be proud of!

If you would like to learn more about the Girl Scout Silver Award, you can visit Girl Scouts of the USA's website or see our resources for girls and volunteers.
