Join South Davis Service Unit for their Crazy Science Day Camp over three days of fun on June 14, July 19, and August 23! Each day will feature a different science focus. In June will be the 1980's Science Fair Carnival - learn science experiments that will knock your friends' socks off while completing your Citizen Scientist Journey with Mad Scientists. In July, Blast into the Past - hop on the train with our Mad Scientists for an adventure to explore the stars and beyond and back to Earth! This date includes a field trip as part of the activities. In August, Glow into the Night - jam (safely) with Marie Curie and the Radium Glow Girls. Why and how do things in our world glow? Let's learn and then do it ourselves!
Day Camp will occur from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm on June 14, 12:30 - 4:45 pm on July 19, and 6:30-9:30 pm on August 23. Each date will have a different location around Bountiful and Centerville and an exact address will be included in your confirmation email. The cost is $35 for Girl Scouts and free for adults. Registration and fees cover access to all three dates. There is a $10 non-refundable deposit that is due at the time of registration. The remainder of your registration fee is due by June 2. A t-shirt and patch are included with registration. Meals are not included with registration, so please plan appropriately for each day as communicated in the confirmation email.
This day camp is hosted by South Davis Service Unit, but Girl Scouts from any service unit across the council are welcome to register. All Girl Scout levels can sign up for this day camp, but you must be a member to attend. Girls that will be bridging into Daisies for the fall are invited as long as they are a registered member. Any adults registering to attend must be members and will be considered volunteers at the day camp, so they may need to help with an activity and will be assisting with supervision. Adults need to indicate which dates they are specifically attending.
Program deposits are non-refundable. Program fees (less the deposit) may be refunded before the program registration deadline (6/2/2024). Cancellations after the program registration deadline (6/2/2024) will forfeit the full amount of the fee for each person registered.
