Leadership Opportunities

Expand your Girl Scout journey and skillset with any of our leadership opportunities. You can mentor younger Girl Scouts, meet and be mentored by local professionals, influence Girl Scouting at the council level, or represent the council and gain experience in media.
Program Aides (PA) are Cadettes who want to serve as a leader, role model, and mentor to younger girls. Once you are a PA, use your new skills at day camps, service unit and council events, or with troops.
To become a Program Aide:
Program Aide Award pins are available in our shop for purchase after completing your PA. If you have any questions, please contact programs@gsutah.org.
Girl Scouts in 10th-12th grade who would like to mentor a Daisy, Brownie, Junior, or Cadette group (outside of a camp experience) are eligible to earn their Volunteer-in-Training.

Seniors, Ambassadors, and Young Alums (ages 18-24) are invited to connect with local businesses and learn from influential leaders at Utah Day of the Girl, held each October.
Utah Day of the Girl is an opportunity to meet and network with people working in different career paths. Participants will network with mentors and our Girl Champions, leaders in the areas of our program pillars, at a VIP reception.
During the meal, we’ll highlight the impact of Girl Scouts and honor the Girl Champions for their contributions to STEM, entrepreneurship, life skills, and the outdoors.
Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors (grades 9-12) and Young Alums (ages 18-24) are invited to apply. Up to 30 girls will be selected to participate. Thanks to generous event sponsors, Girl Scouts and Young Alums attend for free.
There will be an additional preparatory session the evening before on Thursday, October 5 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Council Resource Center in Salt Lake City. The prep session will offer tips and tricks to help participants feel comfortable interacting with professionals at the event.
Organizations and adults looking to sponsor or attend the event, learn more on the event page.
