Are you looking to participate in Girl Scouts but don’t have time for a traditional troop? Do you enjoy working independently? Start your Girl Scout journey as a Juliette!

Juliettes are independent members of Girl Scouts who participate with the help of a caring adult, such as a family member or guardian. Juliettes are full members and can participate in Girl Scouts in many ways, from selling cookies to going to camp! Juliettes are able to build their own Girl Scout experience by working with a caring adult and participating at their own pace. Juliettes receive support from council staff, as well as a special monthly Juliette newsletter.

Support for Juliettes

Juliettes receive support in many different ways, including a council staff member and local contacts known as Juliette Representatives. The Juliette Representatives provide mentorship and support on a variety of Girl Scout topics. Juliettes also receive a monthly newsletter, which includes activity suggestions and news about upcoming events, including Juliette exclusive items. A new parent and caregiver info session recording is also available to new and returning Juliette caregivers. Please email to receive a link.

Ways to Participate:

Badges and Journeys

Juliettes can work towards badges and Journeys just as they would with a troop. Badges are available for a variety of topics, ranging from science and engineering to athletics and the arts.

Stop by our shop to get your copy of badgework, Journeys, and the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting, or you may order them online.

Juliettes also have access to the Volunteer Toolkit, a free online curriculum database. Access is automatic once you join Juliettes. For a PDF guide, please email

Higher Awards

Juliettes are eligible for our Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards, the highest awards of Girl Scouts.

Girls complete a Take Action project of their choosing, where they put their skills and passions into action to make the world a better place. Girls in grades 4-5 can earn their Bronze Award, girls in grades 6-8 can earn their Silver Award, and girls in grades 9-12 can earn their Gold Award.

Juliettes are welcome to attend camp! We offer day and residential camps during the summer as well as minicamps during the school year. Camp is a wonderful opportunity for Juliettes to participate in a Girl Scout activity, spend time outdoors, and learn new and valuable skills. Many girls attend camp without their troop, so your girl can meet plenty of girls looking for a Girl Scout friend.

We have two amazing camps, Camp Cloud Rim and Trefoil Ranch. Girls can participate in activities, including rock climbing, backpacking, horseback riding, arts and crafts, archery, cooking, and more! Camps range from one night to two weeks.

The cookie program is the perfect opportunity to develop valuable skills such as entrepreneurship, goal setting, and leadership. Girls participate through traditional door-to-door sales, cookie booths, and online sales.

Juliettes sell cookies as a family, with the support of council staff. Cookie season runs January through March with sign-ups in the fall and rewards, like a camp experience, throughout the summer. By participating in the cookie program, girls earn prizes, a special minicamp, and their membership renewed for next year.

Juliettes are welcome to attend council and service unit events. Events include STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), life skills, entrepreneurship, and outdoor activities. Through events, Juliettes can earn a badge, visit a museum, explore the arts, and so much more!

Juliettes also have special, Juliette-only events: investitures in the fall and a bridging ceremony in the spring or early summer. Girl Scouts of Utah also offers virtual Juliette meetups, which is a chance for Juliettes from around Utah to meet online, participate in fun activities, and for caregivers to check in. Check out our Activity Calendar for events in your area!

Girls grades 6-12 can travel with Girl Scouts. Juliettes can travel through various council- or Girl Scout-supported trips like Girl Scout Destinations, EF Tours, and other council-sponsored trips. Girls can choose from regional, national, and international trips.
