Ready to help your community and earn one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting? Cadettes can team up with a small group of fellow Girl Scouts or work on their own. To earn the Silver Award, you will research an issue you care about, make a plan to address it, and then take action to improve your community.

Build your Girl Scout Silver Award team (up to three other Girl Scouts) or decide to go solo.
Explore your community, find an issue you care about, and think about how that issue affects your community.
Choose a Silver Award project that can lead to lasting change and develop that project.
Make a plan, decide which team member will be responsible for which part, and put the plan in motion.
Complete the project, with each Girl Scout contributing at least 50 hours.
Upon completion of your project, ask your supportive adults to review the Silver Award Rubric before submitting your final report. (Final reports are due September 30; each Girl Scout who worked on the project must submit their own report.)
Reflect, share your story, and celebrate.
Upon completion of your project, submit your Silver Award final report by September 30. Each Girl Scout must submit their own report, even if they worked together on a project.
