Girl Scout Outreach Program

What is the Girl Scout Outreach Program?

Girl Scouts of Utah wants to make sure that every girl who desires to be a Girl Scout has the chance to do so. Our Girl Scout Outreach program helps make that dream possible. We provide a Girl Scout experience to girls in afterschool programs, community and refugee centers, homeless and domestic violence shelters, as well as in community resource centers serving special populations.

Under the training and guidance of council staff and fantastic volunteers, girls can participate through patch work and service to their community. They experience Girl Scout programming through ceremonies, celebrations, traditions, and the Promise and Law. Next, girls connect to the larger community by completing a financial literacy unit. Finally, they give back to their community by completing a service project. Some sites continue Girl Scouting even through the summer months. In addition, girls can participate in all other Girl Scout programming and camps throughout the state of Utah.

How can I help?

Volunteers are needed at many of our sites to help run the Outreach troops and be a consistent, confident, and courageous adult knowledgeable of Girl Scouting. Contact if you are interested in volunteering for our Girl Scout Outreach Program.
