Riding a horse is one of the most exciting things Girl Scouts can do! But ask any good horseback rider their secret to success, and they'll say that understanding a horse is as important as learning to ride one. During this overnight session, get clued in to horses by learning about how to care for them, what equipment you need, rider lingo and more before grooming, helping tack your horse, and going on an arena ride. This is a beginner program and riding time will be focused on introductory skills. Time spent away from the stables will be spent enjoying a campfire program, creating a horse themed craft, and making a treat to give the horses.
Entering Grades 2-12 in fall 2025.
