VicTree Financial (Virtual)

VicTree Financial (VicTreeFi) provides entrepreneurship and financial literacy courses. These courses cover various badges for all levels and are self-paced. Girl Scouts have unlimited time to complete the course, but most courses take about an hour to complete.

VicTreeFi also offers the Digital Leadership and Democracy badges for Daisy through Senior.

The Bicycle Collective (Salt Lake City)

  • The Bicycle Collective promotes cycling as an effective and sustainable form of transportation and recreation, and a cornerstone of a cleaner, healthier, and safer society. 
  • They can offer volunteer and learning opportunities about bicycles to Girl Scouts and troops, as well as support with community service or Take Action projects. They are also able to provide transportation assistance resources for Girl Scouts and their families who are in financial need.

Free2Luv (Virtual)

  • Free2Luv® is an award-winning youth development nonprofit transforming and saving lives through art-driven, interactive programming. Free2Luv addresses the mental health crisis our youth are experiencing by successfully providing safe spaces and tools for marginalized and under-resourced youth to thrive, express themselves creatively, celebrate their individuality, become more confident and compassionate, and turn their pain into power and purpose.

Game On! Sports 4 Girls (Park City/Salt Lake City)

Game On! is a sports and physical activity group for ages 4-14. They host sports clinics and badge workshops, teaching Girl Scouts to be active. 

Humane Society of Utah (Salt Lake City)

The Humane Society of Utah offers on-site visits for troops to become more knowledgeable about their pet resource center and important role in helping pets. These visits must be scheduled in advance through the contact below.

All visits are staff-led, 45 minutes in length, and include a presentation, tour of the adoptable animals, and animal interaction. Feel free to ask about how to add service to these visits when you reach out to schedule.

Hutchings Museum Institute (Lehi)

The Hutchings Museum Institute provides a Playing the Past badge workshop and is a great place to take your troop to learn about Utah history or gemstones.

Kappa Delta Utah State University (Logan)

Kappa Delta is a national partner with Girl Scouts and is pleased to provide events in the Cache Valley area, as well as other parts of the state. Their focus is empowerment and self-improvement. They are a volunteer-run section of a national organization.

The Leonardo (Salt Lake City)

The Leonardo offers Arts, STEM, and STEAM activities for multiple ages. They specialize in badges that mix science, engineering, the arts, and more.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (Draper)

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium provides water and conservation-related activities, including a Journey day for Brownies and Rosie’s petal for Daisies.

Mystery Reptiles & More (La Verkin)

  • Mystery Reptiles & More provides reptile presentations for Girl Scouts through council-level events. They are a small business based in La Verkin, Utah, providing presentations throughout the surrounding area.

Natural Grocers (Ogden)

Natural Grocers Ogden’s Nutrition Coach can help Girl Scouts learn about food and nutrition. They can provide support for the New Cuisines, Simple Meals, Snacks, and Eating for Me badges. Please note that this is not a hands-on cooking class.

Pioneer Theatre Company (Salt Lake City)

The Pioneer Theatre Company is a professional theatre company in Salt Lake City, located on the University of Utah campus. They provide hands-on theatre experiences, as well as plays and musicals.

Turtle Shelter Project (Statewide)

The Turtle Shelter project offers a portable shelter for the houseless. They make foam vests that can keep someone warm at 10 degrees below zero. Troops and service units can contact them to set up a service project.

Archer’s Cave offers archery activities for ages 8 and older as well as the Cadette Archery badge. Instructors are trained by USA Archery at a high level to offer quality, safe instruction to Girl Scouts.

Aqua-Native Mermaiding (Holladay)

Girl Scout troops can set up a 'mermaid lesson' taught by a certified freediving instructor. In the lesson, Girl Scouts will learn how to hold their breath, use a monofin, and swim like a mermaid. A swim test is required before the lesson, administered by Aqua-Native.

Canyon Country Discovery Center (Southern UT)

Canyon Country Discovery Center leads rafting and other outdoor adventure activities. They are located in Sothern Utah, near the San Juan river and other outdoor destinations.

Hill Aerospace Museum (Layton)

  • The Hill Aerospace Museum's mission is to "educate and inspire through the promotion and preservation of Hill Air Force Base history." The museum uses its collection to provide STEAM education and promote aviation and Air Force history. The Aerospace Center for Education at Hill Aerospace museum can assist troops with STEM badges, as well as history and aviation activities.

The Hogle Zoo (Salt Lake City)

The Hogle Zoo provides eco-science activities in addition to sleepovers, when available. They hold interactive and hands-on events that center around animals and ecology.

Jordan River Commission (Salt Lake County)

The Jordan River Commission hosts tree plantings and other environmental service projects for Girl Scouts and their families along the Jordan River.

Ogden Nature Center (Ogden)

The Ogden Nature Center provides outdoor programming, such as the Hiker badge and Girl Scout days. They emphasize outdoor opportunities.

The Quarry (Provo)

  • The Quarry is an independent rock climbing gym in Provo, UT. They can offer full or partial badge programs to Daisies, Brownies, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors, as well as climbing experiences for any age.

Tracy Aviary (Salt Lake City)

Tracy Aviary provides eco-science programming at their Jordan River Nature Center, including the Bugs and Animal Habitats badges. Programs generally occur in September and May, with an additional Girl Scout Day in the winter or spring.

Christa McAuliffe Space Center (Pleasant Grove)

The Christa McAuliffe Space Center, part of the Alpine School District, offers interactive planetarium shows that align with the Space Science badges: "The Moon: A Legacy Left Behind" and the "Beginner’s Guide to the Galaxy." They also offer leadership and team building experiences to help you jumpstart Brownie Fair Play and Cadette Good Sportsmanship.

CodeCampKidz (Virtual)

CodeCampKidz is an entirely virtual partner, providing immersive coding experiences for older girls, including the Think Like a Programmer Journey and some of the Coding for Good badges. 

Clark Planetarium (Salt Lake City)

  • Clark Planetarium provides programming at GSU events, such as the STEM No School Day and the STEM Exploration Day. Their areas of focus are robotics and astronomy. Clark Planetarium is currently developing ways for troops to experience space science.

Girls Who Code (Statewide)

  • Girls Who Code provides free and fun computer science curriculum and activities for our Girl Scout Community! Lead a Girls Who Code Club (PDF) for your troop and you'll receive everything you need including coding tutorials for all skill levels, inspiring role models in the tech industry, friendship activities to support social-emotional development, and extra perks – like free t-shirts, swag, and a $300 Amazon Wish List! Girls Who Code Clubs are open to 3rd-12th graders.
  • To get started, create an account and fill out the GWC Clubs Application. Contact clubs@girlswhocode.com with any questions. All Girls Who Code Club needs an 18+ volunteer to serve as its Facilitator, along with tech access (chromebooks or laptops work great!) and space in a nonprofit like a school, library, or community center to host the Club.

HawkWatch International (Salt Lake City)

  • HawkWatch International (HWI) conserves the environment through education, long-term monitoring, and scientific research on raptors as indicators of ecosystem health. They are a scientific non-profit founded in 1986. Most of their staff are practicing scientists, but they also have an education team that conducts most of their community outreach programs. 
  • HawkWatch International offers council-level programs in Citizen Science activities.

Little Beakers (Sandy)

Little Beakers offers 60-minute (for the Home Scientist badge) and 90-minute (for the space and engineering/design focused badges) guided sessions that include hands-on experiments and/or activities that would meet the badge requirements as requested by the troop. Sessions would be priced per participant with a minimum base price for each event. Pricing schedules are available on our website.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (Draper)

The Natural History Museum of Utah runs hands-on STEM programs throughout the year, as well as select larger events like sleepovers. Their programming focuses on grades K-5.

SeaQuest Utah (Layton)

SeaQuest offers field trips and overnight events where Girl Scouts can enjoy hands-on learning to earn their Ocean Discovery badge (available online). A field trip can include a guide who will teach about aquatic life and conservation. Additionally, they offer a science lab where Girl Scouts can see what takes place behind the scenes to ensure the quality and care of their animals.

Lastly, they have a Sleep with the Sharks encounter where Girl Scouts can spend the night at SeaQuest, see nocturnal animals come alive, experience an exclusive shark feeding, and have sweet dreams beside their favorite animal exhibit. This partner offers You-Schedule-It options.

Southern Utah University STEM Center for Teaching and Learning (Cedar City)

  • The Southern Utah University STEM Center for Teaching and Learning brings STEM to southern Utah through events, professional development, and high-quality STEM programming. They are excited to offer STEM opportunities to Girl Scouts in Southern Utah. They can assist with many STEM badges, including STEM Career Exploration, Space Science, and Science of Style.

STEM Action Center (Salt Lake City)

The STEM Action Center provides STEM activities in their Makerspace in South Salt Lake, including 3D printing, computer programming, and robotics. They use specialized technology for fun and informative programs.

Thanksgiving Point (Lehi)

Thanksgiving Point provides programming in multiple pillars, including outdoor workshops in their garden and STEM programs. They also work with GSU on council-led programs.

University of Utah Society of Women Engineers (Salt Lake City)

The University of Utah SWE Section provides hands-on engineering and technology activities at the University of Utah. They are a volunteer-run section of a national organization.

Utah Tech University STEM (St. George)

Utah Tech University STEM Outreach provides STEM programs to the St. George area through their Makerspace and other facilities at the Atwood Innovation Center. They emphasize engineering and technology.

Utah Valley University College of Engineering and Technology (Orem)

Utah Valley University (UVU) offers multiple STEM badges on their campus. They can offer Automotive Engineering, Coding Basics, Digital Game Design, Robotics, Cybersecurity, STEM Careers, and College Knowledge badges, as well as a civil engineering cement activity.

Weber State University (Ogden)

Weber State University offers STEM programs such as Cadette STEM Day and other work with Girl Scouts of Utah. They are primarily a STEM partner but may be involved in other areas.

Zhu Chemistry Lab (Salt Lake City)

  • The Zhu Chemistry lab is a laboratory at the University of Utah and is excited to offer Girl Scouts the opportunity to earn chemistry and STEM badges. This You-Schedule-It partner can facilitate earning the Home Scientist badge, the STEM Career Exploration badges, and the Science Exploration patch program, in addition to other chemistry activities.

Girl Scouts of Utah and the Salt Lake Bees partner on a game and sleepover, where Girl Scouts and their families attend a game then campout on the field. Keep your eye on the calendar for the yearly event!

The University of Utah athletics department provides discount tickets to select women’s sports games, including soccer, basketball, and volleyball.

Game On! Sports 4 Girls can help your troop earn a badge or patch in a fun and active way! They coordinate with individual troops to customize the program topic and goal. Sessions start with a sports-oriented warm-up and stretching session, then follow with a game or two involving teams that addresses the program goal and stresses character-building concepts such as teamwork, fair play, staying fit, etc.

Game On! also strives to teach a fundamental sport skill (i.e. throwing a ball with proper form or dribbling a soccer ball through obstacles). Sessions end with an empowering team challenge and cheer.
