Troop Camp Rental

Camp rentals for troops is designed as a way for girls to experience camping with their troop at Trefoil Ranch. Rentals are to be focused on Girl Scout programming, provided by troop leaders. Troops need to have a minimum of 5 girls and 2 non-related adults to participate. 

Troop leaders are responsible for reviewing the following prior to registering for a troop rental date: 

Lodging Options

Sleeping capacities have been adjusted to allow for social distancing. 

Cabin Units (May and September)

  • Circle K unit has three cabins, sleeping 10 people per cabin (metal framed bunkbeds and mattresses).
  • Rocking P unit has three cabins, sleeping 8 people per cabin (metal bed frames with mattresses).
  • Both units include a fire pit, picnic table, wash stand, and restrooms nearby with flush toilets and electricity.
  • $50 per cabin for the 24-hour rental period (5:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
  • Troops will rent one to three cabins in one of the units, depending on needs.
  • There will only be one troop per unit, regardless of the number of cabins reserved.

Bunkhouse Unit (October through April)

  • The upstairs has 5 rooms, sleeping 18 people total (metal framed bunkbeds with mattresses).
  • The downstairs has 6 rooms, sleeping 24 people total (metal framed bunkbeds with mattresses).
  • Both the upstairs and downstairs include an apartment-style kitchen, restrooms with multiple toilets and showers, small lounge area, picnic tables, and a fireplace.
  • $50 for the downstairs level of the bunkhouse for the 24-hour rental period (5:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
  • $50 for the upstairs level of the bunkhouse for the 24-hour rental period (5:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
  • There will only be one troop in the bunkhouse, regardless of the levels used.

Programming Options and Resources

Programming Options

Troops have the option of participating in archery or snowshoeing during their troop rental. Staff or adults in the troop can facilitate these program areas. 

  • Teambuilding at low ropes course (May, September, October)
  • Archery (May, September, October)
  • Snowshoeing (November - March)
  • Both program options are weather dependent.

All programming is done in two-hour blocks, with a maximum of 16 participants per two-hour block. Staff-facilitated program blocks are $100 each and troop-facilitated programming blocks are $50 each.

Programming Resources

GSU will provide the option to rent outdoor cooking gear and program supplies for a fee of $25. Refer to the Camp Rental Guide for Troops packet for more details.

Certifications and Trainings

Troops must have an adult on site with up-to-date certifications and trainings as listed below. The adults with the certifications/trainings for the group must remain at camp with the group for the duration of the rental. 

  • Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications
  • Utah Food Handler’s Permit
  • Troop Group Camping 101 (not required for one-night overnights)
  • Program area certification or training (if doing troop-facilitated archery or snowshoeing)

Registration Process

Registration for Camp Rentals for Troops is done in UltraCamp.

  • Troop Leaders can use their individual/family account or create a new account for their troop.
  • Do not add your troop members to any account.

Note: Lodging fees are due at the time of registration with a credit card. Programming fees are due two weeks prior to the rental date.
