Girl Scouts Receives $84.5 Million Donation from MacKenzie Scott

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - On Tuesday, October 18, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) announced an $84.5 million donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.
This donation has been allocated to GSUSA and 29 specific councils to power increased access to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Girl Scouts of Utah is not a direct grant recipient; however, we applaud Ms. Scott for supporting girls during a time when it’s critical to invest in their futures through organizations such as Girl Scouts.
We also hope that continuing this conversation inspires more donations globally and in our own market, so we may continue to provide access to Girl Scouts’ life-changing experiences, mentoring, and programming.
In short, every gift to Girl Scouts is a win for girls.
