This is a full day (or partial day if that's what you sign up for) of training that provides in-house training on Archery (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and Low Ropes Course (1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) facilitation. Attending this training and demonstrating various safety standards will qualify you to lead these activities for your Troop/Service Unit at our camp properties. These trainings are not nationally recognized certifications and will not certify you to lead these activities off site.
The condition of the property may impact if this training is held or not. Spring can be hit or miss depending on the amount of snow that impacts the program areas - if the program area cannot be accessed and used safely, this training will be rescheduled.
Childcare is not provided at this training. Only adults may register, and no tagalongs are permitted, regardless of age.
Attendees can sign up for both trainings, or one or the other depending on their needs. If staying between the two blocks, attendees can have access to the fridge/microwave in one of the buildings to heat a meal for lunch. No meals will be provided from/by GSU as part of the training.
