Calling All Tribes! Are you ready to outwit, outplay and outlast? Join Sunrise Service Unit's Never the Same Weekend for a survivor-themed overnight experience packed with adventure, creativity, team challenges, tribal bonding and fierce fun!
Upon arrival, participants will be placed into teams. Each team will test their skills as part of their own survivor tribe.
Here's what's in store for your tribe:
- Fire Starter Challenge: Can your tribe light the spark?
- Campfire S'mores and Survivor Stories: What tales will your tribe tell under the stars?
- Tribe Totems: Can you craft the ultimate token of survival?
- Skits, Songs & Survivor Shenanigans: Will your tribe rise to the top with laughter and flair?
- Target Practice*: Are you the archer your tribe needs?
- Ropes Course**: Will your tribe climb to new heights together?
- Art or STEM Challenge: Can your tribe think outside the box to solve, build, or design your way to victory?
Pitch your own tent for a true outdoor experience, or retreat to tribe basecamp in one of our cozy indoor shelters, including the lodge, ranch house or bunkhouse. Want a little extra comfort and privacy? Troops can upgrade to their own private cabin*** for just $50 - perfect for groups of 8-10 looking for a space to relax, recharge and bond. No matter if you prefer sleeping under the stars or under a roof, there's a spot for everyone.
Whether you're a seasoned camper or a first-time adventurer, this is your chance to discover your inner survivor - the Girl Scout way!
Come for the challenges. Stay for the fun. Leave with memories that last a lifetime!
*Archery is weather dependent. Brownies and above participate in archery activities. Daisies will receive comparable program instruction.
**Both the high ropes course and low ropes course are weather dependent. High ropes course is for Juniors and above and subject to availability. Daisies and Brownies will receive comparable program instruction on the low ropes course, which focuses on problem-solving and communication to conquer team challenges.
***Cabin upgrades are an additional $50 per cabin and subject to availability. Options may include Circle K Cabins (10 people per cabin in bunk beds, 3 cabins total) and Rocking P Cabins (8 people per cabin, 3 cabins total). Program Type
This event is hosted by Sunrise Service Unit. The volunteers have completed event specific training, completed youth protection training, and have been background checked. Service Units agree to follow Girl Scouts of Utah's policies and procedures to conduct a safe, fun event for Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts of Utah staff will not be present at this event.
Membership Type
This event is open to youth and adult members. Girl Scout youth are welcome to invite friends who might be interested in joining Girl Scouts. Youth must be enrolled in K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Adults are required to be in a troop support role (membership, background check completed, and youth protection training completed). Adults registering who don't meet these requirements will have their registrations cancelled.
Participation Type
This event is open for Girl Scouts attending with their troop, with their adult, and/or by themselves.
Individual Girl Scouts are welcome to register for this event; however, their participation is contingent upon the registration of an adequate number of trained and background-checked adults to meet Girl Scout girl-to-adult safety ratios. If these adult supervision requirements are not met, individual Girl Scout registrations may be canceled and refunded. We will notify families as soon as possible if additional adult volunteers are needed to support individual Girl Scout attendees.
Program Fee and Payment
$45 per person ($10 non-refundable deposit due with registration)
Balances are due in full by September 2. If you register after this date, (a) you will be required to pay in full and (b) you will have 10 days to submit Activity Credits to have GSU refund your initial payment for the credits.
Activity Scholarships (Members Only)
Activity scholarship are not available for Never the Same Weekend programs.
Activity Credits (Youth Members Only)
Youth members can use Activity Credits to pay for this program.
Mail Activity Credits to Girl Scouts of Utah with a payment form.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Program deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations less than 10 business days (Monday-Friday) from the program start date will forfeit the full amount of the fee for each person registered.
