Join Aspen Service Unit as we celebrate "Our Friendship" - 100 years of World Thinking Day at day camp this summer! Girl Scouts from across the state are invited to participate. Each day, campers (Grades K-5) will embark on a new adventure with Juliette, "visiting" a different WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) center which are located in England, Switzerland, Mexico, Ghana, and India. Learn about each host country through games, traditions, crafts, music, and cuisine. We look forward to a week filled with learning, creativity, and inspiration as we explore the world with Juliette! Day camp costs $25 for girls, and is free for GAB girl helpers (Grades 6-12) and adult volunteers. Campers will receive a snack each day, a bandana, and a patch.
Adults that register are signing up to be volunteers. Please fill out this survey to mark which days you'll be available to attend. You do not have to attend every session in order to volunteer - we appreciate if you can attend even one day! If you have additional knowledge of one of the host countries, please indicate so on the form.
An orientation meeting will be held for GAB girls and adult volunteers the week before camp. Adults, aka World Travelers, will guide camper groups to different activity stations led by GAB girls, aka Travel Guides.
