On Friday, October 6, Girl Scouts of Utah will host their annual Utah Day of the Girl celebration. This event, held to commemorate International Day of the Girl Child, an annual event presented by the United Nations, highlights the outstanding achievements of four outstanding women from the state of Utah. These Girl Champions embody the four pillars of the Girl Scout program: STEM. Outdoors, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship. These four women being honored are exceptional in their field and an inspiration to young women.
This event also aims to inspire the next generation of leaders by providing a unique platform for Girl Scout Seniors, Ambassadors, and Young Alums (18-24) to connect with industry professionals, seek mentorship opportunities and draw inspiration. A special reception is held prior to the main event allowing for more individual time with these active leaders of the community.
Liz Adeola, producer and host of PBS Utah, will be this year’s emcee along with Andrea Williams, Chief Experience Officer for the Utah Jazz, as our keynote speaker.
