This upcoming weekend, March 3 through 5, Girl Scouts of Utah will celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend typically marks the season when America's beloved cookies are widely available across the US, and it works to remind consumers that each purchase supports their local Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts of Utah is in the middle of its cookie season, which started in February and ends in mid-April.
Customers who haven’t already bought cookies from a Girl Scout can still support local Girl Scout entrepreneurs by ordering Girl Scout Cookies online to be delivered or to be shipped directly to their front door.
The easiest way to find a Girl Scout, a troop, or Cookie Booth is to visit the Girl Scouts of Utah Cookie Finder at www.gsutah.org/cookies, and enter your zip code.
“The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the world. It teaches girls entrepreneurial skills including, goal setting, business management, people skills money management and business ethics,” said Lisa Hardin-Reynolds, Girl Scouts of Utah CEO.
“In addition, cookie funds pay for invaluable experiences such as attending camp, going on field trips, and spearheading community service projects. As consumers open their favorite box of Girl Scout Cookies, they simultaneously open new doors for girls in their community to explore their leadership potential, build lifelong friendships, and make the world around them a better place.”
