Matching Gift
Let your company double or triple your impact!
A matching gift is a quick and easy way to double your contribution! Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving campaigns. For example, if you worked for Verizon and donated $100 to Girl Scouts of Utah, Verizon will then double your donation because they match at a 1:1 ratio. Gifts from employees' spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match.
Typically, there are a few steps to request a matching gift:
- Donate – Make your personal donation and save your tax receipt. (Many companies will allow employees to submit matching requests for up to one year following your donation)
- Search – Contact your human resources department directly to ask if they offer a matching gift program.
- Match – Complete your company’s matching gift verification form and send to us. We’ll take care of the rest!
Volunteer Grant
Volunteer grant programs or volunteer matching programs are corporate giving campaigns in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. These programs can be applied as a Troop Sponsorship (up to $250 per membership year) or as a credit to the Annual Appeal Campaign.
Each company has specific guidelines for their volunteer grant programs. Contact your company’s human resources department for more information.
