Powering positive experiences and growth
Girls participate in troops led by council staff, GSU volunteers, or volunteers at the partner site. Curriculum is delivered every 4-6 weeks and includes meeting plans, badges, supplies, and instructions.
Our Girl Scout Outreach leaders help balance structure and flexibility so girls can learn, have fun, and—most importantly—thrive. The curriculum focuses on enhancing stability, fostering a strong sense of self, promoting healthy relationships, and instilling positive values.
Troops are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the badge rather than adhering to a fixed structure that may not suit their needs. Girl Scouts are presented with opportunities to build strength, navigate obstacles, and find the courage to face and overcome challenges. In the troop setting, girls are empowered to lead activities and learn by doing, all while having fun with friends.
